How often do you DO what you say you will do? Do you consistently live up to your (small and large) promises and commitments to others?
Your words and your actions are continuously judged in relationship-building. Those who follow through on their promises and commitments to others are judged as trustworthy -- others DO remember those commitments. You'll chip away at a relationship and the envelope of trust surrounding that relationship if you fail on your follow-through.
Be THAT PERSON who ALWAYS follows through on their commitments -- make that a personal brand moniker for yourself -- choose not to let yourself accept otherwise. Your relationships will strengthen and you'll surround yourself with people who will trust and believe in you -- people who will then be there for YOU when you need them.
Stay conscious of your commitments -- big and small. Write them down or put them into a system that will REMIND you to follow through. Failing to remember is not an excuse.
What commitments and promises have you made TODAY that you need to write down and then follow through on? Yesterday?
How do you capture your commitments and promises? Do you have a reliable "system" in place?
