Ideas can come in a flash .... Anywhere .... Anytime. Some ideas are winners, some losers and many are in between. But, HOW do you CAPTURE those ideas? Do you write them down somewhere, particularly the good ones or the ones "with legs?". Many a great idea is lost, many are forgotten and way too many are never acted upon because they're never ever captured.
Write them down. Capture them. Have a place where you can COLLECT THEM for later review and evaluation.
Review them once a week. Begin the process of fleshing some of them out during your weekly review time. BEGIN acting on the really good ones. Block time on your calendar to take that action. Set goals. Achieve BIG THINGS.
YOU NEVER KNOW when that BIG idea might strike. It could even be a "cousin" to a not-so-great idea -- a cousin that if not captured (and written down) would NEVER have spawned the BIG idea.
My personal solution to collecting and capturing ideas is Evernote (Google it). Evernote is ALWAYS with me .... on my phone, on my iPad, on my Desktop, in "the cloud" -- always available, everywhere. Find a system that works for you, that fits your workstyle, and use it. In the car, I can even audio record an idea in Evernote -- quickly, effortlessly.
What BIG idea might YOU forget if you don't capture it REAL TIME? What opportunity might be lost as a result?
Is this one of those ideas? Did you capture it?
